Age Calculator is a free online tool that works out your exact age in years, months and days from any date of birth. Enter when you were born and it shows your current age, your next birthday, and the weekday you were born on, instantly and without typing a single formula.
It earns its keep whenever a plain birth year isn't precise enough: filling an exact age into a form, working out a baby's age in months for a vaccination schedule, settling a "who's older" argument down to the day, or checking how many days are left until your next birthday. The Feb 29 option also settles the one birthday nobody agrees on: whether a leap-year birthday counts on February 28 or March 1 in a year that isn't a leap year.
Everything is calculated inside your browser, and the date of birth you enter is never uploaded to a server or stored anywhere. That makes it safe to check a colleague's age for a card, work out a family member's age for a form, or look up any other birth date you would rather not type into a site you do not control.
Pick the date of birth in the first field. There is no default: this is the one date the calculator needs from you.
"Age on this date" defaults to today. Click Today to reset it, or pick a different date to find the age on a past or future day instead.
Click Calculate Age, or press Ctrl+Enter from any field. The result updates live as you change either date.
The headline shows the age in years, months and days. Below it, rows give the total months, weeks, days and hours lived, the next birthday, and the weekday born - each with its own copy button.

Enter your date of birth, and the result appears immediately below it using today's date by default. The headline gives your age in years, months and days, and the rows underneath add total months, weeks, days and hours, plus your next birthday.
You choose. In More options, "Birthdays on Feb 29 count in common years on" is set to Feb 28 by default, meaning that is when the birthday lands in a non-leap year. Switch it to Mar 1 if you use that convention instead; either way, the rule note under the result states which one applies.
Yes. Change "Age on this date" to any date you need - a past date to see how old someone was then, or a future date to see how old they will be. The default is today, set from your device's clock, but you can overwrite it freely.
Yes. Alongside the main years/months/days breakdown, the result rows give the age in total months and days, total weeks and days, total days, and total hours - useful when you need a single number rather than a mixed breakdown.
The "Next birthday" row shows the exact date, the weekday it falls on, and how many days away it is, worked out from "Age on this date" (today, by default). If today is the birthday itself, a separate row says so and the count moves on to next year's.
Yes. The calculator only needs a date of birth - it does not have to be your own. Enter anyone's birth date to find their age, their next birthday, or the weekday they were born on.
It does, plus whatever extra whole months fall in the remaining period. For example, 26 years and 9 months old is 321 total months (26 x 12 + 9), with any leftover days shown separately in the same row.
No. Age is calculated from calendar dates, not moments in time, so the years/months/days result is the same everywhere. Only the default value of "Age on this date" - which starts on today - depends on your device's clock and time zone.
Yes, for any date of birth and age-on date from the year 1 to the year 9999. If the age-on date is before the date of birth, the calculator says so instead of showing a negative age.
