Text Reverse is a free online tool that flips the character order of your text from end to start. Paste a word, sentence, or short string, click Reverse Text, and get back the exact same characters in reverse order, with nothing else changed.
It's a quick way to check if a word or phrase is a palindrome, create backwards text for a puzzle or social media post, spot-check how a string looks when read in reverse during testing, or satisfy simple curiosity about what a word or name looks like flipped end to end. It works on a single word just as well as a full sentence or short paragraph.
Everything runs inside your browser, so nothing you paste is sent to a server or stored anywhere. That matters if the text is part of an unreleased puzzle, an unpublished post, or anything else you would rather not upload to a site you do not control. The reversed result stays on your device unless you choose to copy or download it.
Drop a word, sentence, or short paragraph into the Input box.
Every character flips order at once, from the last character to the first.
The reversed text appears in the Result box below, ready to use.
Use Copy for the clipboard or Download to save it as a .txt file. Clear resets both boxes.

Absolutely. All tools run entirely in your browser (client-side). Your data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.
Yes, once the page is loaded, the tool will continue to work even if you lose internet connection since it runs in your browser.
There is no strict character limit, but very large amounts of text (100,000+ characters) may slow down your browser.

Not currently -- this tool only reverses individual characters, so "hello world" becomes "dlrow olleh" rather than "world hello". There's no separate word-order or line-order mode; every character in the input flips end to end in a single pass, spaces included.
They reverse along with everything else, since the tool treats every character -- letters, spaces, and punctuation -- the same way. A comma or period that was at the end of your text ends up at the start of the reversed result.
Yes. Reversing an already-reversed string restores the exact original order, since flipping the character sequence is its own inverse. Paste the result back into the Input box and click Reverse Text again to undo it -- useful for double-checking that nothing else was altered in between.
It can help you check by eye -- reverse the text and compare it to the original, and if they match exactly, it's a palindrome. The tool doesn't do that comparison automatically, though; you still compare the input and result yourself.
Yes. The tool reverses whole characters as you see them, so accented letters (even ones typed as a letter followed by a separate accent mark), emoji, flags and combined emoji such as skin-tone or family emoji stay intact; only their order changes.
This flips the character order but keeps every letter shaped normally -- it doesn't rotate or mirror the glyphs themselves the way an upside-down text generator does. It's suited to string checks, puzzles, and backwards-reading novelty text, not to visually flipped or rotated lettering.
